Admission
Before you are admitted for treatment or an operation you will be meeting with a doctor. This is called the “pre-operative consultation”. During this consultation you will be discussing some of the following: which medication you are using, your medical history and what will occur on the day of the operation.
You can only undergo an operation if you have had a preoperative consultation.
On the day of your admission
On the day of your admission you need to register at mijnInfopunt. The employees of mijnInfopunt will either point you to the right ward or bring you there. There you will fill in a questionnaire (anamneses). Usually this will be done with a nurse. The questions are about your personal situation. For example, any dietary restrictions or allergies. Besides the questionnaire the nurse will also check your pulse, blood pressure, temperature and breathing.
