Costs and Healthcare insurance
Everyone who lives and/or works in the Netherlands must have a health insurance. This insurance covers treatment you might receive in a hospital. The health insurance company will usually cover a large part of the costs involved in hospital treatment. Sometimes you will need to pay (a part of) these costs yourself. In order to get the costs reimbursed by the health insurance company, you will need an indication letter from your family practitioner or healthcare provider. Do you have questions about your healthcare costs or your insurance? Our personnel at the Verzekerdenpunt (Insurance counter) would love to be of service to you. There are three ways to contact the Verzekerdenpunt:
- By e-mail: zorgkosten@flevoziekenhuis.nl. Do you want to know what your healthcare (will) cost? Then it would be best to send an e-mail. This way we can collect all the required information so we can give you an accurate answer.
- By phone: via phone number 036 868 88 96. This number is available from Monday through Friday between 8:00AM and 5:00PM.
Due to the privacy laws we will not be able to answer all of your questions over the phone. If you have any questions about your personal (medical) information, then it would be best to fill in the form online, or come by the Verzekerdenpunt in person, located in the central hall of the Flevoziekenhuis. - Visiting: You can come by the Verzekerdenpunt in the central hall of the hospital. This is open Monday through Friday between 8:00AM and 5:00PM.
Tip: Do you have an appointment in the hospital, and you are planning to stop by the Verzekerdenpunt prior to your appointment? Then come at least half an hour earlier.
